Welcome to Fit Food Nutrition, a space I created to help spread the good word of how food can heal our bodies and minds, bringing us back to homeostasis and wellness. I am a certified Nutritional Therapist and Master Herbalist with a huge passion for helping people to live a healthy and balanced lifestyle despite the busyness and constant demand of every day life.

Fit Food Nutrition is home to all the content that I make relating to juicing, nutrition, natural medicine, well being, home remedies, healthy recipes, aromatherapy, herbal medicine, fitness, life coaching and de-stressing.

All with the aim of helping people like you live a healthier, happier and more balanced lifestyle. I do this by offering bite size chunks of knowledge that can guide you through your every day, and by creating short self help nutritional programmes that are easy to do from home, and can literally change your life.

For those wanting a more in-depth assistance, I also work on a face-to-face basis either in person on through video chat.

My Mission

Have you ever imagined what it would feel like to to be constantly energised, beaming with health, no ailments or even winter colds? Well its all possible…and more! Living a healthy and happy life requires us to look after ourselves and give ourselves the self love and treatment that we would give to our nearest and dearest. We all deserve to feel confident in our bodies, at peace in our minds and content in our lives. I work with individuals to help them accomplish just this, and I can help you too.

My Own Health Journey

In 2012 I turned to nutritional therapy after suffering with a series of my own health problems, that had left me lethargic, with chronic migraines, unable to sleep, depressed, in constant pain and with exhausted adrenals. And through my own journey I found many answers to my problems through good food, the power juicing, meditation and essential oils. For over a year I spent all my time away from work lying down or in bed trying to manage the horrific pain I was in and not loose my job. This fed into a cycle of extreme debilitating fatigue and left me feeling alienated from friends/family but too unwell to interact. As I was passed from specialist to specialist with no one truly being able to help my complicated migraine disorder, I began to realise that the best cure was to use my intuition and experience of trial and error, so I began to study. I learnt about nutrition, food groups, Gerson Therapy, the mind and body, meditation, well being, and this led on to a professional qualification in aromatherapy, Nutritional Therapy and Herbal Medicine. I cut out processed foods from my diet and took up eating whole organic foods, reduce my meat intake and began juicing. It wasn’t an easy transition and it can be hard to stay on track when eating out, but it’s been a rewarding journey. Today, I feel so passionate to share my experience and help others to learn about how to eat, live and manage their own health through the power of food.

My Role as a Nutritional Therapist

As a Nutritional Therapist, my role is to help minimise health symptoms, working on a one-on-one basis with both healthy individuals to help prevent disease from occurring and also with sick individuals to help ease symptoms of a developed disease.

We as Nutritional Therapists work on the basis that every person is unique and will react differently to another person on the same dietary programme. Therefore we recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

This is done using a series of tests and tools to assess an individual and identify potential nutritional imbalances. From this assessment we can work with individuals to address nutritional balances and help support the body towards maintaining health or fighting disease.

Whilst Nutritional Therapy is not aimed at replacing medical treatment, many suffers of degenerative diseases have reversed their condition naturally through Nutritional Therapy.

LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE

AND MEDICINE BE THY FOOD

Hippocrates (Greek physician)

Nutritional Therapy Can:

  • Identify nutritional deficiencies
  • Improve and alleviate a persons health symptoms
  • Optimise your body for good health

The process of Nutritional Therapy is:

  1. Clients are taken through a series of health assessments in order to identify nutrient deficiencies
  2. An individual assessment can then be made by myself on the clients current diet and health
  3. From this, each client then receives a personalised nutritional plan unique to their dietary requirements, that addresses nutritional deficiencies and contains all the essential components needed to fight and combat their health concern or illness
  4. Following the clients implementation of the dietary suggestions, I then work with clients to monitor their health improvement and help individuals to stay on track with resourceful recipes and suggestions

My Role as a Master Herbalist

As a Master Herbalist, I work with all therapies that use plants for medicinal purposes. These include herbal medicine, aromatherapy and flower essences. There are many herbalist theories associated with plants, and flower essences are particularly relevant for the treatment of emotional, mental and spiritual ailments, which are complimentary to distressing physical symptoms of disease. As a Master Herbalist, I recommend the use of various herbs for ailments, disease, health conditions and emotional well being. Chat to me through social or drop me an email to ask any questions or find out how you can improve your health today 🙂
